The Delta Fair

Waiting for the Delta Fair to open because I read the schedule wrong. We were already hot before we got in there.

And then Uncle Brian charged forward I believe thinking that the quicker he walked the quicker he would be done and the farther out of the heat he would be able to get.

But we had to loligag around the tractor...

And look at some chickens...

And pet some pigs...

And then pet the chickens...

And then stop and watch a mime make a peanut butter sandwich....

And "win" some swords...

And visit the National Guard Tank...

And finally get a real smile while riding the horses...

Yep. After that we could get out of the heat.
Really, why not do the fair in October?

Woo-hoo, what a great day:) Little ones don't mind the heat when they are having a great time and these two on the ponies look as if they could have stayed all day!

Great weekend, Mom, Uncle Brain and Aunt Lori, I think the Brood gave that one a perfect 10!!

You guys look hot. I mean temperature wise. You do look good, though, also.

Were the boys begging for Dad's hair cut by the end of the outing?

Yeah, I think November around here would be better. Those smiles on the pony-riding-cowboys are awesome!

Brian Lori were brave to go out in this Memphis heat with 4 kids in tow. But it looks like it was fun anyway. No way am I going to the fair at the end of August/beginning of September. They definitely need to move it to about the middle of October. I love the pictures on the ponies and petting the chickens. Too cute!

But you have to pick cotton in October so no way you can have the county fair then. Also, by October or November that prize hog has met his maker. It's a Southern thang.

But the kiddos are cute, even in the heat!
