The Saturday Outing: Party Down

Here we are as we arrived to Emily's party. We were a bit concerned at the beginning.

But then there was food. Party food, which went over very well.

And we asked for more.

And there were cupcakes.

Lots of cupcakes.

And Granny E. was there to adore us and send us home with a gift we are very much looking forward to writing about in the future.

And a big empty room to run back and forth and scream in.

And then we helped Emily open her gifts.

And the hostess had an adorable moment of either bashfulness or tiredness at the unveiling of the biggest cupcake of them all.

And we were having such a good time, we just hung around all during the break down of the party and stayed underfoot because we are polite like that.

And Nicholas helped Emily pack up her toys. We didn't find anything on him when we got home, so we think we gave her back everything, although Ben would have snuck out with her new guitar given the chance.

And we played with balloons.

Lots of balloons.

And the sure sign of a good party was a quiet ride home. I don't think the boys even made it a block.

Stubers, we thank you tremendously for all your help!

Susan, you saved my life in the kitchen. Patric you made us very happy that we decided to make the chocolate covered strawberries. Boys, you were troopers delivering the presents for Emily to open them (and helping in that process). Girls, you were lovely and lady like in every way.

The Kings are blessed and thankful to have such sweet friends!

We fought over the rest of the strawberries that we took home last night after all little Stubers were in bed.

I had the "bestest" time because I got to play with my Stubers!!!

My how you have grown is an understatement. Such sweet young lads and lasses.

Alida, you just reached in and grabbed my heart when you held those two little arms up for me to pick you up:) And, Ms. Elaine, you let m swing you around and get a hug and kiss off the top of that sweet angel head a time or two.

Benjamin, you were even saying "E" to me before the day was over and Nicholas, we have great fun gathering baloons.

Our little family has been so very blessed to have friends such as you and Patric, who have become family through all the love and thoughtfulness you have shown my child over the past few years.

It's a true friend who comes to a party with FOUR little ones of her own, but takes the time to get in the kitchen, roll up her sleeves, and WORK LIKE A DOG:)

Susan, Patric, Alida, Elaine, Nicholas, and Benjamin, we all love you guys very, very much!!!
