The irony of a training period that lasts 40 days and 40 nights has not been lost on the Stubers, particulary with the endless cold rain that started this week.
But thankfully, this time it is only the unit he is supporting and not his own unit out in the field. So dad got to come home for a cameo last night in order to make it to an eye exam this morning.
And happiness was restored yet again. These guys are fabulous at going through all of the ins and outs of having a military dad. Every once in awhile I'll get, "Hey. Where's daddy?" And then I explain that he is working on his tanks. And that seems to be enough to get us through another day. And when he pops in, it tickles us all.
