The one, singular moment of calm during our let's-go-ahead-and-take-four-kids-to-the-doctor-at-once afternoon.
After that Nicholas slammed his finger in the door and screamed. Alida just screamed. Elaine played in the trash. Everyone needed suddenly and with great urgency to wash their hands. And Benjamin suddenly needed to go potty five different times. Five times because each time he got there he had a bout of performance anxiety and refused to actually go potty.
Thank you Dr. Snapp for agreeing to do this. We will never, ever do it again. The nurse came in and started handing out stickers about 10 minutes into our appointment in an effort to shut everyone up because I'm sure we were scaring every poor child in the city with our fits.
She smiled the entire time as we discussed eczema, spotty skin, weird forehead marks, whether or not we were all drinking 32 ounces of milk a day. 32 ounces?!
The stats
Benjamin
31 pounds
37 1/2 inches
Nicholas
28 pounds
37 inches
Alida

Elaine

32 ounces? Really?
I don't think I drink 32 ounces of fluid a day, period. I'm dehydrated, but that's beside the point, I weigh more than 28lbs!!
Are going two by two next time, or one at a time? That would almost be like free time for you: one kid's well visit! It would be restorative for your spirit, Susan!
Wow! Stuberoos are growing up:)
Oh, well, as for the scaring the other children, they were probably scared already anyway:) And, Nicholas, if you're going to hurt your finger, what better place?
Glad to know everyone is doing great. Did you do the "chart" thing? If so, where is everyone.
32 ounces, that's a quart, right? So each and every day your house is supposed to go through a gallon of milk. WOW! Gives a whole new meaning to "Got Milk?"
But, you've still got four of the best looking kiddos around:)
I always ask about that chart, and then promptly forget everything I'm told because they don't put it down on the little sticker for me. I do remember being a little shocked that Nicholas even registered on the chart.
Yep. We do go through 6 gallons of milk a week here, but Patric and I are contributing to consumption, so there is no way they're getting enough according to the Academy. They do love their vitamins though.
Oh, and unless we wind up seven months late with the boys next well visit, no reason to ever have that horrible allignment of stars again. It will be two by two from here on out.
