We tried on our winter coats for grandma this weekend since she was going shopping and was curious. The ladies were quick to take them back off while we were still inside. 
But Nicholas and Benjamin had other ideas.
And they played out there in the Southern August summer like that for longer than a moment. Let's hope October gets here quickly.

They had to be burning up! The girls knew what they were doing. It's too hot for winter coats, Mommy! This will be the first year that they're really aware of what cold is. They were probably thinking, "What in the world is this thing?"
We've been sticking more with winter hats over here in the Kansas heat. I've even been talking about Santa Claus...you can't be too ready for him.
They boys were way too cool in their coats! Obviously they weren't that hot or they would have pulled them off! Or, just maybe they were dreaming of cooler days ahead!
I think Ben was just happy to finally have something covering his arms again!
