The Saturday Outing: Ducks on the Mississippi

Yes Benjamin. That is a cute doggie.

No Benjamin. I know the point of that doggie sitting there is to make you start begging so that we'll take him home. But, no Benjamin. Some day, but that day has not yet arrived.

Oh, Emily! So awake and alert at the Farmer's Market Saturday morning. So good to see you.

The dads were so happy to be at the Farmer's Market early on a Saturday morning that they did a little dance to celebrate while the local musician attempted to drown out all conversation. And Benjamin enjoyed his personal tour of the market with Jen.

Emily is going to start handing down clothes to us next spring, and we can't wait because Granny E is a great shopper.

On to Mud Island. There is a beautiful view on the walk.
Can someone please tell me who designed the two-year-old-sized-holes in the walkway?

Emily?! Wake up.

And we visited a mini-Mississippi river sitting on the actual Mississippi River. And Huck here took no time to jump in.

Then we saw a very scary duck that no one was very impressed with and really kind of frightened by.

Um, Emily? You were so scared you hid? Oh no, you're asleep again.

Then we saw a gigantic duck, which was also a bit creepy.

Oh, hey girl! I see you woke up to smile and look beautiful.

Meanwhile all the Stubers decided to play Huck fin while we waited for the duck race. Bathtub ducks were raced in a pile down the fake Mississippi, and Benjamin's duck won first place! Come see what he won! It's so exciting!

Oh, Emily got tired and fell asleep she was so excited.

Look at Benjamin's victory shirt! We'll just put that in the future pile. Or maybe Emily will fit it next summer the way she is resting and growing!

Benjamin, what a great prize:) Thanks for taking such good care of Em, that was so sweet of you!

As they say "A good time was had by all." And according to Jen, it really was.

Glad to see everyone out and about and doing well. Great memories for all!!
