The Saturday Outing

was a nightmare.
From the 5 a.m. Alida wake-up
To a pretty good job at the donut shop, until we all lost our heads while leaving;
To the hair salon;
To driving to the Botanical Gardens to have one say no he didn't want to go there;
To the overcrowded other park and cranky children;
To home again.
Fifteen hour constant movement Saturdays suck.

Sorry you had such a crazy, packed-full Saturday. Hope Sunday was better. I see the sympathy band-aids are still in play.

No wonder there was no weekend post! Crimminy! Where did you put the antihistamine?! Oh, I guess that would be classified as doping and they'd be disqualified from their respective events (ie best ways to drive mommy right over the edge).

Take a power nap at work.

Really great mentoring Anon.

There were not enough sympathy band-aids to be had, even after Alida broke into the cabinet on Sunday and started passing them out.

I guess putting the kids on a Greyhound bus to Austin is out of the question??

Watch it Aunti, the bus goes both ways. I may not be able to legally send them to you, but I can legally send you a bus ticket to me...

I am tired and worn just reading this. I've tasted that exhaustion and weariness, but with half as many children and much less emotional stress.

The great thing is that it has passed and sometimes that is the only thing you can set your sights on: bed time always comes.

Yes, but the idea is to give you a respite and a child-free home, with you to stay (or go) as you please...not to add more people to the mix :-) With that said, Memphis is definity on our agenda in the coming months...
