Nicholas: Mommy. Me: Yes. Nicholas: Your car is like a school bus. And. And. And daddy's car is like a RACE CAR! Me (dejected): I know son. I know. Nicholas: Yeah, like a red race car.
This is the beginning of many differences they will notice between the two lives you each lead, all of which will lead them to grow up and be glad they get to become Daddies. Then the girls will one day become Mommies and know that, minivans, snot on the shoulders of every outfit and never really ever resting fully again are more worth it than any Daddy could ever begin to imagine. I will always believe Mommy love is the greatest thing there is.
Funny how you think they don't really notice anything and then all at once you realize they notice EVERYTHING.
So right you are, Dukes, Mommy love IS the greatest thing there is. The one thread that will always be woven throughout that quilt we speak of, will be Mommy love:)
