Easter Traditions

Scream through the group shot.
Nicholas was the only one who understood that smiling for the camera would get him candy. Too bad he looks a little crazy.

Pile on top of Easter baskets
That calmed them down for a moment, until a fight broke out over those sippy cups each has in a hand up there. And then off to church. At least no one threw up on their Easter clothes.

Having no sense of holiday tradition, carry on like it is a normal day.
So we dumped some chocolate milk down our shirts and piled on top of dad to watch a movie.
Tradition.

Looks like a wonderful "tradition" to me:)

Mom, I just got to tell you, I got to keep the children Friday while Mark and Jen took Em to have her picture
made.

Alida was up from her nap when I got there, she came to me with those little arms outstretched:) Well, we sat in the recliner and rocked and rocked. Then "here came the bug," running up here little leg and she began to laugh.

Then Elaine woke up. I went in to get her and she too put those little arms out for me to pick her up. She was reserved for a moment or two, but when she figured our
sister wasn't too afraid, it was okay. So, then all three of us were in the chair rocking and rocking:)

After a while it was Nicholas who woke up and while he wasn't too sure, he let me get him anyway. The girls are now in the little chairs and he and I are in the rocker. He decided that he'd watch Jungle Book and drink milk.
So, he was good to go. And while the girls and I were "dancing with Baloo," (?), he was grinning.

And about 30 minutes before Jenn and Marked returned, Benjamin woke up. Now, Gentle Ben wasn't too sure he wanted to get up and be with me.

But, after promising him the moon, reminding him of the fun we had at Em's party with all the balloons, he was my buddy. And he let me rock him a long time.

We all had a "party" of bananas, cheese, goldfish crackers, cran-raisins and milk.

Just filling you in on all the doings and going-on of your Stuberoos over the weekend. And they were all calling me 'E' before I left:) And I got good-bye kisses and hugs from everyone!!

Thank you for sharing these four precious, precious little ones with us. God has so blessed out "family" by adding yours in the mix. Em is so lucky!!

I believe you need to be invited to all holiday photo ops to help remind us that easing them into place is probably a better tactic than rushing around already late knowing we need to throw them in a pile and get a photo...

Thanks for loving my kids E.

Granny E, I am jealous. I haven't seen them since before Georgia was born - over 3 months ago! Jenny and I have GOT to get over there to see them! They're so cute, even when they're throwing a fit for the camera. Maybe they could skip a day of daycare (and homework) and I could come keep them for the day and Jenny could come by for a visit. That would be fun!

I've looked at the one at the top now about 50 times. Nicholas just cracks me up! I am envisioning everyone scrolling through pictures in about 30 years and this one being a great topic of conversation for many, many years.
