Pickles

We grew all of the things to make pickles.
Apparently everyone else did too, because we could not find pickling salt anywhere in the stores.
We managed to avoid the $40 shipping charge for a $6 box from Amazon. And we found it elsewhere for next day free delivery at a reasonable price.  Although we now have a lot of salt. And then none of our mothers can remember ever using special salt.  Sigh.

However much salt, these two are loving the gardens, so I will find room in the pantry for my large supply.

There was cutting and brining.

Adding garlic and seasoning.

And filling and processing with much concentration.

And so far, none have exploded!
The sneak taste before they went in the jars was pretty good!
