Plunging into the New Year

Imagine, if you will, that the one diving is me. 
And  that is the rest of my family right behind me.  But, they aren't following, they are actually putting on the brakes.  
As I came up from diving into the wake, the four children were still standing half in the water and their father had chickened out entirely.  We made him go back....


Super cold but super fun. 


And it was a beautiful day at the beach to start the new year. 


Then we went and ate all of their mashed potatoes and all of their rice and all of their bread.
