Baby B was willing to say hello yesterday. Baby A wanted nothing of it. Your tip: tilt your head to the left and say hello to baby B and her plump cheek and very open little eye.The newest Stuber ladies looked good yesterday. Baby A checked out at a healthy 2 pounds and 5 ounces and Baby B a healthy 2 pounds and 6 ounces. Everyone was doing their tricks: filling their bladders, practicing breathing, swallowing, hearts pumping away.The newest girls are doing well. The older girl (mom) saw a decent dip in cervix length yesterday down to 1.7 cm from 2.7 last week. Yikes! No other real signs of labor on the near horizon though. Progesterone shot number 2 was given to keep labor away, and steroid shot number 1 was given to help the girls' lungs develop in case labor comes along anyway. Steroid shot number 2 is today. Ouch! We are in holding pattern now. The doctor says she'll have a smile on her face if we can hold out to 34 weeks (July 2); Mom is holding out for 36 weeks (July 16) because she likes a challenge and thinks the girls can do it. Aunt Cynthia can still hold out for 38 weeks (July 30). We like the optimism, and it would be fun to share her birthday!
