I Didn't Do

One and a half twin pregnancies in two years. No actual morning sickness (unless you count the time at the fish place in Minnesota, but she thinks that had more to do with too much taffy mingled with the all you can eat walleye night). But then came yesterday. The culprit? That little pill there finally took her down. Now she is just staring at it, wondering when she will get the courage to try again.
After she went home to let it work itself out of her system, our daycare called and let her know that Nicholas had head planted on the edge of the sink and cut his head open. There was lots of talk of blood and stitches and pressure and please come soon. She sent dad, who found Nicholas in a pretty good mood, no blood, with a bandage and eating a snack. He decided there would be no trip to the emergency room. They did decide to call the pediatrician’s office to double check their judgment. The nurse advised them to bring Nicholas in just in case. The pediatrician smiled and said superficial.Mom wonders why there aren’t any slots in the baby book for occurrence reports. What a day.

Road Trip

We rode patiently in the car for ten hours.
They put us to work.
We made a new friend and shared dinner.
We met a great-uncle.
and a great-aunt
And all of the practicing our manners paid off
because we got to sit for lunch with the bride and groom!

Happy Spring

We have been practicing our table manners all week trying to prepare for Friday. We still think the silverware belongs on the floor and can't imagine why you would bother putting food in a bowl unless it was to make it easier to fling across the room. Oh and sippy cups, once you are done taking a drink if you just drop them on the floor, someone will get it back for you later if you scream loud enough. But, we promise to behave Brian and Lori. ;-)
We can't wait until aunt Lori is really aunt Lori!

All This Entertaining

Wears me out.
Makes me hungry.
But we both had a wonderful time watching basketball and relaxing with grandma over the weekend!

Cabin Fever

We've been couped up for a while now. Bubble wrap is only interesting until the bubbles are no longer bubbles and are merely small broken blisters.
The trike doesn't work very well in the living room.
It seems all we have to do is eat anymore, and mom says that needs to come to a halt. But we're hopeful. This morning we didn't wear our jackets to daycare. The trees in the yard are starting to bud and the Hyacinthe are in full bloom here. Next week is the first day of Spring, and we're headed on a road trip to Texas to see bluebells and a wedding. We can't wait!

Some Before and After

Before
AfterBefore
After
Some highlights from the weekend: We had deep fried green beans, mom and dad bought me my own broom set, and the weather was beautiful so we played outside a lot.
The low-lights: we lost an hour of sleep on Saturday night. There is no fence in the backyard. When you break free and make it to the sidewalk, you can fall down on your face and get a fat lip. Haircuts.
Mom and dad think maybe they aren't cut-out for home cut, so-to-speak. We're told it'll grow back.
