I could just ... well, never mind. Two weeks and two days until we go on vacation! I don't even know what a vacation is! But it sure sounds like a whole bunch of fun, except mom keeps mumbling about three minute showers. Doesn't matter. Grandma bought us something called Dutch Apple Dessert. That sounds like it's worth getting drugged for the plane trip right there.

There Was Some Talk
...that I would need to go to a physical therapist if by 7 months I didn't start carrying some of my own weight. Mom has been mumbling something about doing dishes would carry some weight, but dad keeps telling her that's not what the doctor meant. Anyway. I am pleased to report that not only am I standing on my own two legs now days, but I am also up on my knees working on the next step. I know, I know. I said it seemed like a waste of time when Ben was doing it. But, now they are all leaving me in the living room to go hang out in the kitchen. They act like they're not interested in me, but I can see them peeking around the counters to see if I'm going to come too. Let's just stop the shenanigans.I see the pulmonologist on August 24. Mom seems to think that having an appointment made 6 weeks out for a specialist means that we're just checking a block of some sort. She said we're never going back to that dermatologist, but in October we'll see if I can get a chocolate chip cookie and milk when we see the allergist. For now, I've escaped seeing the physical therapist.

That's My Scared Mommy Hiding In The Background
So I was hanging out at that daycare place yesterday in the lounging chair when mom came in to get us. She picked up the other one first (hmpf), so I decided to take action. I got out of that chair and crawled right over to her, smiling the whole way so she would pay me some attention. It worked! She was smiling right back and congratulating me and encouraging me. I think her eyes even got a little moist. Then she started mumbling again. Something about childproofing and "here we go." Oh, and when I suck on my bottom lip, I get teeth.

Mom's Tax Dollars At Work
...or maybe it is all in the name of safety. Now that is something to look forward to when we hit elementary school. I hope the "rain day closet" is better stocked. Not that, as you can see by the desert conditions, we get much rain around here. Or maybe that is a track burnt in the ground from the kids marching around the wreck, searching for something better to do. Do ships really have green gazebos? Perhaps the kids have battles to see which three will be able to seek shelter in its shade.

Old Friends and New Faces
Meet our new baby-sitter Mattie and her sister Jules! Okay, well mom says we would actually have to move back to Kansas to make that happen. But man were they fun. I'm getting a new tooth and, as you can see, I managed a pretty disarming smile in spite of it. Nicholas was trying to be cool, but you can't really contain it when there is so much good energy in the house.
