That Little Box

Elaine held off opening that little box until nearly the end, because I think she knew what was in it.

And when she pulled out the iPod, with her own music loaded, I saw visions of a future brooding teenager (or maybe that was a flashback to my own younger years my own parents might say).

But for the most part, we just get the little girl, rockin' out with a big smile for now.

Things To Come

Well Alida, what's got your nose all out of joint this fine afternoon?

The purposefully crossed arms.
The big lip.
The heavy sigh.
Oh, the drama.

Ah, fighting over fake phone time already.
It's okay, by the time you are a teenager, I'm guessing you'll all just have some surgically attached chip that circumvents this problem. I'm sure you'll wonder what on earth that thing is that is tethered to the wall. Or perhaps you're already fighting for the attention of the person on the other end of the line?

Blast From The Past

Benjamin at 17 months enjoying warm weather and a new hat.

Elaine at 17 months enjoying cold weather and a new hat.

Little Did Gracie's Granny Know

That when she sent the boys cereal straws,
we would have a little impersonator on our hands.
Thank you Gracie's Granny.

Attitude

Mom thinks the smile takes away from the look a bit, but I think it works. But the egg allergies will limit my styling options in the future.

I Have Seen The Future
