Flu Fighters

The shot and the seemingly never-return-to-school in person bit.
We got this.

All I see is smudged glass

Four in glasses; one in four glasses.
It still gets confusing around here from time to time.

Flashback Friday: March 2012

When you've run completely out of things to do, give in to your mother's request for a photo. But never exactly how she asks for it.

Pictionary

After using up all of the charades cards to no end, we added Pictionary over the holiday.

It would help if they read the same thing during the "Play All" portion of the game where all teams play during the round in a competition against each other.

"Buried Alive" won because "Burned Alive" was not the picture to be drawn.

Clue

And so we played until we had our answer.

But not until there was a two-hour cacophony of noise around this table.  Slow and deliberate investigation is not this brood's style. Strawberries, grape juice and deli meat straight out of the container by the handful--dinner is served with our murder mystery.

Just Handsome and Adorable

Not only do they smile on queue, but they even do it well from time to time!

Not to miss, the girls turned simultaneously and flashed me a grin about two seconds after the boys were flashed.

Slowly

We'll get boys to realize that:
One button undone is okay.
and
At least one button buttoned would be okay too.

Still a good looking crew.

They always have been.

Even without front teeth.

Or with candy stained smiles.

This may be one of my favorites.

Traveling and not feeling the family photo time.

Utter fail.

Outvoted

Heaving a heavy sigh, I went with them when I was outvoted 5-1.
The Waffle House.
They loved it.

Love These

Had I asked them to recreate the one below, I wouldn't have got much better than their own spontaneity.

Four years ago now!

Someday soon though, I will be trying to get them to re-create this moment.

Double Take

"Well, they seem quite optimistic," Patric says as we both double take at the mantle.

The mantle where the children have replaced their stockings (the size of mom and dad's now seemingly smallish ones there), for these that they had found earlier, used for a potato sack race, and then snuck up there very quietly.  I still haven't found the four that were replaced.

Girls and Boys

Write your name in the sky with a sparkler.

Go to battle with your sparkler.

Soccer Mom

I am not.
Daddy signed them up.
Daddy left town the day after Labor Day for four days, on eight hours notice.
Mom figured out where to get them, what they needed, and what time to arrive.
Mom did not figure out that the shin guards go inside of the socks...
Soccer Mommy Fail. But, they are so crazy cute and proud not knowing their faux paus. And I am constantly looking for other Pee Wee players that are similarly dressed, hoping that we're just setting a trend... We're not.

Our Four

Yeah, that was a cute picture of the four of them earlier.
This is really more typical.

Good Morning

Hard to believe, but this is waiting for the bus on a Friday morning. Yes, I drove them the block to the bus stop because I am now full Southern, and unable to wait in 32 degree weather with them for the bus.

Sigh

Certainly one thing to fill my iPhone with junk photos.
Another entirely to blatenly prop your feet on my counter and document the forbidden act.
Particularly when I don't know whose feet they are.

Full View

New shoes and all.
Thank you Grandma Montana.
Everything fit beautifully.

However, Alida has announced that she is over purple.

Photo Shoots

This would be more realistic, than the ususal posed group of four pics we flash up here.

Still staged really, just much more accurate in their staging.

Even when one tries to smile nice....

Can I?

Every.Single.Day.
Mom, can I/we/the whole gang of us, go to the neighbor's?

In this case, I think they didn't even bother to ask and just showed up at their door.
Note Ben's possessed look.  He is about to throw a fit over being told to get out.
