Let them Make Cake

Seriously with all of the days off school.

When they were bored; and it was cold outside; and, I was trying to work,

I told them to go bake something.

 

And so they did.

 

And it tasted pretty amazing too.

Cutting up squid as they went through the Marine Biologist for a Day program in Houston.

I remember the girls were technically too young to do this, but we must have been a charming brood.

Holding our breath

And making friends.

So Cold

When you can write in the frost on the inside of the windows, you know it is a little cold.

Never give up though.  You can still practice your volleyball skills after you put on your snow pants and boots.

So Bored

This time of year seems to be filled with days off school for some reason. And when you are grounded from all of the things you want to do until your grades come up, well having schoolwork is important.  Because otherwise, you're just so bored.

 

So on a family bowling outing they will go.

 

 

Flashback Friday: March 2010

Daddy was away, for a long time.  And we all missed him.

 

We were a mess, in all senses.

Looking forward to a better March ahead this year.

Turkey

It's a little telling that when the girls have a friend over, the friend generally talks them into cleaning their room...   In this case they found some feathers, and Elaine became a wild turkey.

 

And flight proved to be just as difficult as being a real turkey.

Know Thyself

Alida did not let me get away with saying she could get her ears pierced without scheduling the date and time of the event.

Elaine happily joined the outing,

and picked out a magnetic pair of earrings for herself.
