Flashback Friday: 2009

Stuck in a tree at Aunt Brian and Aunt Lori's.

Morning coffee during the roadtrip.

Roadtrip snacks.

And all around good times.
Well, likely not all around, but time does erase some of the aggravating memories.

Contortionist

Glancing over, this seemed perfectly unnatural.
And then I saw Elaine tucked behind her sister.  Oddly, they weren't even trying to be weird; they were just sitting that way.
The things you can do when you have a twin with the same size leg.

Safari

Give the kids each some money and send them off to the arcade at a hotel.

Perfect, because then Patric and I snuck into the same arcade and played Space Invaders (or some such amazing recreation of a classic game with vibrating chairs and swiveling guns) until we ran our own selves out of money.

We didn't see the girls while we were there because they were in a photo booth taking pictures of themselves with various backgrounds.  This is by far my favorite--Alida appropriately terrified and running.  Elaine, magically calm and relaxed during the stampede.

The Standoff

For some dumb reason, Nicholas decided to motivate Elaine to help him with the trash by telling her she was a slave.

They stood there, faced-off at the doorway, each refusing to leave before the other.

For at least half an hour. The dog eventually believed they were waiting for him to take him out on a walk.

And then it Mad Mom Mad.  And I told them to move on because  I needed to get some crap done already.  They should know by now that I am the slave.

Wishful Thinking

My car computers are old.
If we drive more than 100 miles, the it will suddenly notify us that there is no tire pressure in any of the tires and we're driving on rims.  We got used to that.

This new trick is aggravating.  The temperature hadn't risen about 20 this particular day.

Don't Make Mom Mad!

Because you can see there that when mom is mad, she puts on her pearls and her eyebrows sharpen...

We had a make your own board game set sitting around here and the girls put it to use the other day.  The rules, that seemed to keep changing, made me mad...

Always, I Open My Mouth

We joined the Boy Scouts Sunday for skiing one last time before the end of the season.
And I think we're getting the hang of it!
