Cub Scout Graduates
Now entering the world of Webelos.
But not yet Boy Scouts? I don't quite get it, but all three have a blast.
All five really, as the girls are very welcome Tag Alongs.
Sad that the Boy Scouts have a better program for girls than the Girl Scouts do.
And a better set of girls, in my opinion.

Mother's Day is Long Over
The Interrogation.
(Trying to keep a straight face.)
The culprit: Nicholas
Perhaps correct since my first reaction was to correct his spelling, although I didn't get out my red pen. My second reaction to tell him he has a better vocabulary if he wants to slander me.
Perhaps correct as well, since I find this sort of sentiment to be a measure of some success.

When You Run Away
Ensure that you take a full roll of toilet paper, your toothbrush, and a pack of Pop-Tarts for the road.
Then, make sure that you leave a Thermos cup of chocolate milk in the yard for about a week before someone finds it....That may get you invited to run away.

Happy Father's Day
Hey, remember that little trip we took recently?
Happy Father's Day.
Today, you'll be buried in children, and that smile will be even wider for it.

To Our Dads: Happy Father's Day!
Our Foundations.
And the men who taught us how to smile.
(Now, that each of these pictures may actually be after grandpa had the children for a while, and they are happy for the end and we're happy for having had the break--purely coincidence, I'm sure...)

Memorial Day
We decorated.
And decorated.
And we were appropriately somber and learned as we went.
But, I still can't help looking at this picture and thinking about the Bad News Bears.

Proud Hunter
He (quite proudly) shot a copperhead the other day.
The day that we invited another child over after a soccer game; wonder if he'll be allowed to return ever. He is at least appropriately shocked, where our girls seem to think this is dinner.

Break Over
Three weeks away.
Four sets of house guests.
Our first school suspension.
Then end of school.
The beginning of summer.
And a dog.
