Mississippi Headwaters
Our annual trek to the beginning of the Mississippi.
Where they never wanted to leave.
And waded in further and further until we found them around a bend at a bridge and hauled them out.
And on the way back, folks coming and going, glancing at the Stuber mess of wet and so many people, we get the following:
Me: "Alida, keep up girl."
Alida: "I am mommy. Don't worry, I can still see you. And anyway, I can smell your blood!"
I thought one of the women in a family walking the other way was going to fall off the trail laughing so hard.

Tired
3,000 mile road trip, a week in Minnesota, a few days in Kansas, a business trip to Washington thrown in, pink eye, first day of school, and daddy out-of-town again for a few days.
We're wiped out.
And then I lost the cord to my camera somewhere in there and can't get the vacation, first day of school pictures loaded.
Argh.

Two Years Later
This post still cracks me up, unfortunately because it is still true...

New Obsession All Around
As long as it isn't raining,
and it's been raining a lot lately,
you'll know where to find us this weekend.

Hopefully the Baby Didn't Notice
That Patric was as uncomfortable holding a such a small package, as I was once again taking a picture of him doing so.
We're still a little close to those days, and those utterly sleepless nights.

Why So Serious, Girl?
"Why so serious, girl?"
"I'm just playing, mommy."
"Well can you get that hair out of your face?" said in my best mommy voice.
"Yeah."
There we go girl, that'll do.
