A Little Before and After

Before
JUST Before (smiling through the unending wait for pain medication). Yes, that is a smile.
After
After. Alida will have none of the propaganda campaign and has reserved judgement on the "I heart mommy" shirt for now.
AFTER feels so much better and is so much prettier.

My First Stitches

Not to be shown up by the new people, I would like to share the brood's first set of stitches. Dad took me to a dermatologist this morning, and I have to say--it stunk. They have been watching a spot on my forehead that was pink and irregular shaped for a little while now. The pediatrician numbed it and poked around with a knife about a month ago, and then she sent us to this new lady. She decided to just cut it off my head! Yikes! I go back next week to get the stitches out and find out about the biopsy.

Miss Us?

Mom is taking a break, but she said to head over to Gracie's to see how cultured we've become. Many thanks to Gracie for keeping us entertained while mom and dad were off getting the new challenges ready to come home.

Learning to Take Turns

Dad got so excited when he saw this on the neighbor's curb, he didn't even wait for the discreet cover of darkness to go take it. We keep hearing that the line is going to be doubled soon to get on the toys, but we stopped believing them. We think it's all an excuse to avoid discussing mom's weight problem.

Little Man About Town

Boy, the professional photographers take a little more time than the parent photographers to get the shots out. These are from the wedding in March.

Happy Fourth of July

Hope you had a great Fourth of July! I was a little confused because they put us in these shirts from Aunt Cynthia that say "Make some NOISE." And then, they acted like I was
mis-behaving when I made some noise during naptime. (But it did get me out of jail for free yesterday...)
Nicholas on the other hand didn't make any noise for a very long time, and they finally made some noise to wake him up after 3 and a half hours. He wasn't pleased.
Then we asked mom why she didn't wear red, white and blue for the holiday? And she told us to go find her something that she could fit in that was red, white and blue
and she'd get right on that.
In the end, we learned that the Fourth of July is our kind of holiday.
Hanging out with mom and dad, eating brats for dinner, swimming in the pool and napping for as long as we want to is the pursuit of happiness if we've ever seen it.
